girl's night

Adam was able to pick up 6 hours of over time tonight so it's just me and Lucy! So far so good. Usually by this time every night I'm anxious to cook dinner (my time to myself) while Adam takes our little girl off my hands. But tonight we've just been hanging out--being each other's BFF.

After all my complaining about Bear these last couple of weeks, I am happy to announce that he has not messed in the house since last Thursday! It could have even been Wednesday. Again, changing my attitude about the situation has changed my perspective.

I have something planned every weekend from here until practically "Kingdom Come", but I love it. I'm not stressed by it or anything. Off to feed my little girl... oh, we have a WIC appointment in the morning and I'll give you an update on what she weighs afterward.

Changing your attitude changes your perspective.

My new thing lately has been trying to change my attitude in order to change the way I perceive things. Like with Lucy's late-night wakings, I've been trying to view them as "us" time in order to keep my sanity. It's been a good rule of thought and I have a more positive outlook on like I think because of it--plus the fact that I'm praying like crazy for God to calm and change my heart (the root of my attitude).
Yesterday we got back from a nice visit to Paradise. We found out that my best childhood friend, Ashley is having a boy! We're also thinking of taking advantage of the Cash for Clunkers program. We were running through the list of all the things that need to be fixed on the Jeep and the list was so extensive that the cost would out weigh buying a new vehicle after the rebate. Not to mention all the savings in gas we'd have with a new vehicle. However, the senate still has to pass the new $2billion proposed for the program or else it's gone by Wednesday or Friday or something...
If we do buy a new vehicle, I think we'll wait to buy a house. Originally we were going to try and take advantage of the $8k tax credit for first time home buyers by December, but realistically, we need the rebates on the vehicles more than we need the $8k come tax time. We'll see what happens. I have a peace about which ever route we end up taking.
OH! We got a jumper for Lucy! Yes! My grandma bought us one and it is a LIFE SAVER! She loves it and it really entertains her so I can get things done around here.
As far as my Real Estate Business goes, I have approximately 2 clients (aside from myself). My mother-in-law is buying her first home in Paradise, and I have some clients here who work for CCC.
I think Lucy's teething is getting better--she's less fussy. However, I've changed my attitude about the situation, so my perspective is less likely to jump towards "she's so fussy, I can't handle it, she needs drugs." She's a delightful little creature who is learning to crawl, and I love her!
My mom is having a endoscopy tonight for a gall stone that's dislodged from her gallbladder and is blocking a passage from her liver. We call her mellow yellow :) Hopefully the endoscopy to have the stone removed will make her feel better.
Less then three weeks till my sister gets married!
And the best news of the day: ADAM JUST CAME HOME AND SURPRISED ME WITH A NIGHT'S STAY AT THE HOTEL DIAMOND FOR OUR ANNIVERSARY! It's the hotel we stayed our first night in as man and wife. My parents are going to watch Lucy and pay for us to go out to dinner that night. I'm so excited. That's this Friday.
That's all for now. :)
